The "When I Grow Up" Period
It's so hard to believe that I'm an adult now. I used to always say "When I grow up...," but it seems that that part of my life is over.
But what an era it was. The years where I used to dream about my future, the people I would meet when I left home, the things I'd do with my life... it just seems so dreamlike. Something that no longer is attainable, that beautiful part of your life where everything might just come true.
The childhood memories of learning how to ride a bike and doing Hooked on Phoenix, learning how to play Go Fish, and discovering gravity the hard way.
It was simpler then, and it was happier, I think.
I guess, this is just me saying goodbye to the "When I Grow Up" self, and apologizing to her for who I've become. I hope she's at least a little proud of me.

Did you get into and attend your first choice college?
I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!
Yeah... pretty much. I mean... I didn't really have a first choice to begin with, but I was pretty darn happy when I got this one particular acceptance letter.

Summer Vacation
I have to admit, I was pretty stoked I had 3 weeks off of school before having to move back into dorm-land.
Many of you many already know that the San Gabriel Mountains aka Los Angeles Forests are on fire... or perhaps burnt down. So... I come home from school after 9 weeks of grueling summer school to sit around at home, blogging, status-updating about the BAD AIR QUALITY.
Not only do I get to come home during the hottest part of SoCal summer, I get to come home to heat, humidity, and my favorite mountain trail burnt down AGAIN.
So... if you're that jackass who decided it'd be fun to start a barbecue or whatever "dumbass" fire trick in the woods... I hope you can get the image of Bambi burning to death in your head - and I hope you never forget it!

I've banned myself from Facebook (at least until finals are over)
At the beginning of dead week, I made a decision to ban myself from Facebook - the motherload of all college procrastination.
I had my roommate change my password... and since then, I've only gone on once to post up my old chemistry book for sale. I have to say... I never realized how addicted I was to the social devise.
On average... I think I at least spend an our to two ours on Facebook daily... and it really adds up. It didn't solve my problem... as you can see, I am on Xanga writing my 10 minutes blogs during study breaks.
I miss all the fun things I'd do on Facebook.
a. I'd upload drawings and pictures of miscellaneous objects and tag them as my friends.
b. I'd browse through the bumper sticker collection trying to find something fun to send to a friend.
c. I'd be Facebook stalking people.
You know you do it! Don't lie. I mean there has to be someone you were like... is he/she single? What has so and so been up to lately? Hm... OMG! They broke up? NO WAY! It gives me a dose of that high school drama that I miss so much... and some of you miss it too...
Aside from that, you can always browse through people's pictures and be like.... mmm mmm mmm, you have been up to NO good. Shame!
d. I Facebook chat, I wall post...
BTW. There's something I'd like to note about Facebook chat, but it will have to wait for another time, because I can only type so much in 10 minutes.
e. I like feeling involved in peoples lives! It gives you a chance to feel... a little bit special... (and in some cases a little bit less special that that other person who has a 1000 friends. "WTF?!! 1027?!")
Well... I'm out of time...
My point is... with the World Wide Web so easily accessible, it's truly impossible to think that changing one password would do me in. I must learn a new form of self control...
OH NO... FINALS?!!! FML!
